Moonrise Swiss Style

Specially for Tricia - a truly amazing spectacle last night as the moon rose behind the Silberhorn while the mountains were bathed in alpenglow. I know that people are going to say the moon was added! I continued to take photos after the glow had faded. Later, when the moon was higher in the sky, the mountain range lit by moonlight.

Words fail me Ann. These images are so beautiful and I can imagine them in my mind having been there when the afterglow was showing. For people who haven't experienced it, they could say that the images have been digitally enhanced but I know differently. Thank you so much for posting these shots.

Thank you for these beautiful images Ann. If I hadn't seen an Alpenglow in reality I would never have believed that these colours were true - such incredible hues. How I wish that I too had been there to have seen these scenes for myself. Love the moonlight on the mountains too. The crescent shape of the Silberhorn never fails to make me want to ski right along the edge - I wish....!
What fantastic images to be bringing home and can't wait to see the Blurb book that is bound to follow?

Stunning shots Ann, I've never been fortunate enough to witness Alpenglow like this and getting moonrise too makes it extra special!
