Toft to Comberton Walk

As outlined in a previous blog entry, there is an ancient path that runs in a straight line connecting Toft and Comberton churches Ann Miles Blog: Local Walks 1.Toft to Comberton (pin-sharp.blogspot.com) Here a few images from a bright windy walk to Comberton to do my monthly record of the flower species in the churchyard (taken on a pocket Sony compact).

Drought Declared in East Anglia

A few images from an early walk in Toft where everything other than large trees are now the colour of straw. The Hares and Rabbits and our Golden Retriever, Ted,  matched with the environment perfectly.

Wimpole Infrared

I took my Sony RX IR converted camera on a walk to Wimpole Folly today. The second image is the original jpeg from the Sony, profile produced in camera with whites set to neutral. All the colour changes to give blue skies  etc done in Lightroom.

What No Supermoon

On Wednesday evening we were promised the brightest full moon in 2022 so I chose a good view point and waited. Unfortunately a bank of cloud completely covered the eastern sky although the western sky presented a lovely colourful sunset. In the field, the harvest is underway.

Sunrise in Toft

A few images from a recent early morning walk close to home in Toft. There was some mist to give a bit of atmosphere  but it was the golden colours that took my eye.

August - The In-Between Month

Every year I intend to record our local landscape throughout the year but somehow it lapses. So a new start in a month that passes from summer greens to autumn browns with still some golden fields of awned wheat to be harvested and a field of flax and sunflowers giving the promise of colour to come. For my benefit when I forget, the first three images are taken from the boundary post.
