Here are the results of a short photographic session in Cambridge last week looking for more creative architectural shots - combination of seen reflections, interesting angles and photographic composites. We walked back through King's and couldn't resist a shot of the haymaking which also served as a companion for the Faculty of history building.

Orchids
Cambridge Botanic Gardens had a great display of Orchids in the corridor of the glasshouses when we visited last week. These are in-camera composites that remind me the delight of these amazing flowers amid the light and the textures around them.

Double Exposure at the Fitztwilliam Cambridge
A bit of creative time at the Fitzwilliam Museum using multiple exposure and changing the white balance between exposures. And just for fun, last one done in the computer as you can't change blending modes on the Fuji double exposures

London Barbican Created and Seen
This is the final set from our visit to the Barbican Estate last week. Some composite images (1-5), an art installation comprising lots of mirrors in the stairway of the Barbican Centre and the entrance ramps with their great lighting (never enough people when you want them).

Following on from Composite Workshop
Life is still all fairies in our household. Like her mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Sadie's favourite book is Cecily Mary Barker's Flower Fairies. She decided to pose as the Forget-me-not Fairy and mimicked the pose. The composite elements were all shot on the same day - flowers against a blue sky, a bank of forget-me nots (screen mode), fairy wings from an obliging Common Blue Butterfly (no insects were harmed in the making of this image) and some grunge from a slab of concrete. The back drop was a white sheet embossed with butterflies. Now to do Meredith!
