Happy Christmas from London

Christmas Eve was very wet in central London - we took a walk past Waterloo Station onto the South Bank in pouring rain - good for reflections and umbrellas but limiting in the time we could stay out.

Post Lockdown Visit to Cambridge

I needed to visit the building society today and was worried how busy it might be but around town was very quiet, probably mostly because of the very dismal condition - snow, followed by rain. The stall holders have valiantly set up their stalls and the Christmas decorations are up but it did not look very festive. Only the Fitzbillies corner looked warm and welcoming. All the Colleges have large white marquees for Covid testing all the students before their return home for Xmas.

London in the Rain 1. From the Gallery

We travelled up to London yesterday to do an afternoon stewarding at the London Salon Exhibition . It rained all day giving lots of opportunities for my favourite subject - umbrellas! Here a few views as people passed the gallery hurrying on to get out of the rain.
