Rockscape Portfolio

I always enjoy taking and preparing images for the CCC Print portfolio competition where we have to present 5 images arranged in a panel. This year, as almost always, I struggled to get the fifth image. On the night, I am told the judge actually thought a different one didn't fit too well. One and two are my favourites  and set me on the quest for another three!

Port d'Alcudia and North Coast of Bay, Majorca

On Monday afternoon we went on a boat tour of the northern area of Alcudia Bay where there are some fantastic rock formations. there were goats on the near vertical cliffs as well as large brown and white eagle which I missed photographing . The boat had a glass bottom so enjoyed watching the fish. The first image is a 12-image stitched panorama taken from the boat of the town

Any ideas why Hunstanton has these perfectly rounded boulders all covered in green seaweed? Not enough light to make a good image but still took my eye.
This image says it all about Hunstanton on a wet day

Rocks, seaweed and feather




The rocks were taken in the rain on Dunbar beach, Scotland. I was attracted by the purple, ochre and grey colours that became vibrant in the wet conditions.
