Cambridge Sun and Bikes

I had my Fuji compact fitted with a wide-angle lens attachment today on a trip into Cambridge and was attracted by the bright sunshine playing on the buildings and the cyclists coming through the spotlights. I extended this study to parked bicycles and a couple of other popular transport vehicles, the pink scooters  and the hired punts on the river.

Bristol 2. Amphitheatre and Millennium Square

I finished my walk around Bristol at the Amphitheatre (built in 1993 as Lloyds Bank HQ) and the Millennium Square area with its fountains and mirrored sphere. Good to see all types of transport have been thought about when designing the roads and pavements.

Foggy Walk in Toft

After a clear sunrise, the fog rolled in and, by 8am, was very thick for the school run. Here a few images from my walk around the village and golf course.

River Cam, Cambridge

A second set of misty images from a morning walk in Cambridge, There were lots of boats of various types out on the Cam. The young man in the fifth image managed to capsize and had to be helped out of the icy water. There were a couple of Boxers sparring on Jesus Green and a very close Heron (shot with a 55mm lens) - perhaps a bit disorientated in the mist.

Cambridge and its Bicycles

Camcycle are organising a Cycling Festival in Cambridge during September and. along with John Lewis, who are putting on an appropriate display in their store, asked CCC to submit some images. Here are a few I took yesterday in the sunshine (you may get the rainy set sometime but I seem to have shared a lot of wet images recently!). The difficuly was getting images without large masses of 'untidy' tourists in the frame!
