Habitats at Paxton Pits
As part of the ongoing water survey at Paxton Pits, I thought a record of all the survey points (their appearance and vegetation) in different seasons could be useful appendices so made a start and realised just how difficult habitat and flower photography are!! Here is a start - the Small Copper arrived when I returned to Rudd Boardwalk in the afternoon and was by far the easiest shot!! Panoramas would be useful for several sites so included the Hayling South shot just to remind me to do it properly next time with all images in same lighting and enough overlap etc to make a full depth image.

June Full Moon - Dorset Extras
I have missed photographing all the recent Full Moons so thought I'd post this one from June in Dorset. The moon was photographed in the morning and the evening. I have also added a few more misty morning scenes at Higher Kingcombe - something very special about being able to get from bed to wandering rpund the lakes in minutes. We are already booked for next year!!

Dorset 3: Early Morning Stroll
There are seven fishing lakes here where we are staying in Dorset so an early morning stroll gives lots of opportunity for insect and spider photographs of dew-covered species.

Norway - Two Lakes
Just before and after lunch, we photographed a couple of lakes - one in the shadow of the mountains and completely frozen, the other in full sunshine. I hoped for cloudier and snowy conditions but looks like it will remain sunny for our trip but very cold -8 in the van yesterday afternoon!

Night Photography at Jokulsarlon Iceland
No aurora but the full moon provided wonderful lighting on the lake and mountains. Last time I visited here in 2008, the lake was full of icebergs but the southerly gales have blown them into another part of the lake.
