Points of view in Saffron Walden

Yesterday was our camera club's annual Points of View competition where last year's winner chooses the location and topics. Gaby set it in Saffron Walden and chose the following 5 topics: Market Day, Sweet Things, Bridge End Garden (monochrome), Ancient and Modern, and the Church. Here are a few out takes from these topics plus a couple that I liked though not relevant to the task. I was very pleased with the panorama (8 shots) except for the dominant central figure.

Points of View in Ely

Tonight I judged the CCC Points of View competition which I set this year in Ely. We had a glorious sunny Saturday for the Photography Day back in September. These are the 5 images that I have chosen for the topics that I set:- Three, River Ouse, Ely folk, Double Take and Curves. Sue Badcock was the unlucky or lucky person who came out on top and therefore has to set next year's topic and venue.

CCC Points of View Photography Day

Saturday was our Annual Points of View Day when we are given 5 subjects to photograph within a certain area (this year Newnham area  of Cambridge) in a certain time. The weather was wet, windy and very poor light. Here are some of my not-quite-made-it images - certainly reflect a very wet day in Cambridge.

1. An image from Paradise Nature Reserve.
 2. Architecture in monochrome

3. An  image where water is the principal subject matter

4. A candid shot of another photographer
(she has a very small phone camera)
5. Something not usually observed
