Norway - Haukland Beach

As with my last trip to Lofotens, our first photographic site was Haukland Beach. These are a mixture of wide angle (10-24) and Fish-eye (8mm) images - the more instense the colour, the longer the exposure with longest 30 secs. The upper beach was very icy so stayed clear of this after Jane's experience 3 years ago.

Fish-Eye Fun at Duxford

A few symmetrical shots from Duxford in the morning on Saturday before the crowds arrived. The first one has had a bit of Photoshop help but others as taken in American and Air Space Hangars. Plenty of scope for a return visit.

Blackpool 1. Sunrise - Panorama and Fisheye

Clear and very chilly sunrise on Saturday at Blackpool. By mistake, I set out with one camera and 40-150mm and 18 mm fisheye lenses so here a combination of vertical stitched panoramas and very wide angle shots. Enjoyed the starlings leaving the pier though they didn't hang around.

Vienna Day Part 3

This last post from Vienna shows images from around the Hofberg Palace and St Stephans Square as night comes and with it fog. My favourite was the first image taken of a lady who had lost her dog (we eventually found it) taken with a 12mm Samyang Fisheye which is sharp centrally but falls off a bit at the edges giving a great effect for night photography. I loved the way in images 6 and 7 the colour palette matches so well - everyone in red or yellow - no green or blue to spoil the harmony. Next stop Nurembourg for one night then a short break midjourney in Cologne and home.

Angelsey Abbey Winter Lights

On recommendation from Chris, I booked a tour round Anglesey Abbey grounds during their Winter Lights Festival. Well worth the entrance money - lots of fun to be had with fish-eye lenses, long exposures and multiple exposures plus psychedelic mushrooms and strange lit aliens leaping out of the bushes. Play was only stopped by rain and then not for long.
