Cromer Crab Versus Gull

The children were crabbing off Cromer pier and then releasing them late in the afternoon under the Pier. The gulls lined up to take their pick of the crabs though this young bird seems a bit anxious about about what to do with the pincers! The light was particularly good after a heavy rain storm so I took some time doing portraits of adult Herring Gull plus Blackheaded Gulls

Cromer Storm Clouds and Afternoon Light

Cromer Beach at Low Tide

Yesterday's tide was one of the lowest of the year and coincided with a very sunny warm day (until the rain arrived!). Just right for reflections on the wet sand and interesting foreground details!

Enjoying the Rain (or Not) on Cromer Pier

After weeks without rain, some people were making the most of the unusual feeling of water falling from the sky while other were less happy! The strange panorama is a single sweep with my Fuji - it sometimes gets persuaded to continue a panorama even when the direction has slightly changed - hence the strange join.

Rainy Day in Cromer

Thursday started relatively dry in Cromer with great light but as the day progressed the rain got heavier and after lunch some of the party returned to Cambridge. I stuck it out till mid afternoon but a particularly heavy shower proved too much for me and my camera as you can witness in final image. Some pier and people shots to follow and also an amazing sunset (if I can get the photo off my phone!!).
