A few images from Mallory Park Historic Motocycle Racing. Unfortunately the meeting was cut short by an accident so I only shot from one position with no experimentation on shutterspeed, backgrounds or light direction.

Final Group from Cadwell Park
The third group of vehicles to race at the Classic Motorbike Meet at Cadwell Park were the solo motorbikes - 250 and 500cc. Mostly at Cadwell you are looking down on the bikes but in a few places you can get parallel or even below the bikes.

Sidecar Racing Cadwell Park
As well as scooter racing, yesterday classic Motobike meet at Cadwell Park included sidecars (racing along with three-wheelers such as Morgans). It was obviously a challenge to keep the third wheel on the ground when corning and various positions were adopted not always successfully!! Happily only a couple of occasions when the 'passenger' parted company with the bike and then no serious injuries.

Scooter Racing
I am attending a Classic Motorbike weekend with Phil and Peter and it includes Scooter racing. They have been customised in lots of ways and colours but still sound like a swarm of angry hornets. Still working on the panning technique!!

Experiments in Panning Snetterton Classic Racing
Enjoyed a few hours experimenting with different shutterspeeds for panning at the classic Car Racing at Snetterton - something that would have been financially impossible in film days as wastage is enormous. Here a selection in shutterspeed order (1/250 (1), 1/125th (2,3), 1/100th (4-6), 1/60th (7,8) and 1/15th (9,10))

Stretham Autograss - Oh For a Step!
One of those occasions where I wished I was taller as there was nowhere at Stretham where I could get enough elevation to avoid the ropes and posts. Fun day trying panning but, as expected, the best and sharpest results always had too-prominent posts!
