Sunset Walk Along Clyde

I walked along the south bank of the Clyde from our Travelodge, recording the changes in light and colour as the sun set. For the walk back along the north bank, most of the light had left the sky giving long exposures and great reflections.

Gunton Beach Sunset

For our final evening in Suffolk on Saturday, we visited Gunton beach for the sunset. I was using my Fuji compact (1,2) and Olympus with 12-42 lens (3,4,5) plus I  borrowed Barry's full-spectrum infrared camera(6,7,8,9) .  Late in the evening, the full spectrum camera gave very similar colouring to normal cameras with their infrared etc blocking filters but allowed faster shutterspeeds. Not sure which member of the party was being beamed up in image 9 but we seemed to have our full complement at Breakfast on Sunday (though we couldn't confirm that Ian, who was in self-catering accommodation, was safe).

Southwold Evening Shots

Monday evening after dinner in Southwold, we visited the beach for sunset and the last colour in the reflections and in the sky, not forgetting a few shots of the Pier and Beach huts.

Thames Walk at Woolwich

After settling into the Premier Inn in Woolwich, we headed out along the Thames path as the sun set. Beautiful light gave clear views of Canary Wharf and its skyline visible past the Woolwich Ferry upstream and downstream towards the Estuary. Lots of new tall blocks line the path and more are being added. All this so different to my childhood when we would cross on the Woolwich Ferry and play along the Wharfs and Docks - long gone.

RSPB Titchwell

Although a wet day was forecast, we actually only had one very short shower at lunchtime while we were eating lunch inside the visitor centre and the afternoon was fine with good skies and light. Apart from the Snow Buntings, other species included Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew, Bar-tailed Godwit, Sanderling, Goosander, Little Egret, Linnet and Teal
