Yesterday was my annual visit to Brandon Country Park for fungi (accompanied by members of the RPS Nature Group) and we were so lucky with a beautiful sunny day and very abundant specimens. Here some from the morning session - I was concentrating on the smaller unusual species in the leaf litter etc and on back lighting in the early morning sun. The first image Spathularia flavida is not recorded on the NBN atlas for the area so one for i-record and was complemented by the Hare's Ear fungus. Afternoon finds next!!

Wimpole Farm
We had Wimpole Farm to ourselves yesterday - very different to school holidays and during lambing. Large numbers of piglets in the pens and more to be born so very noisy with all the grunts. I always like an excuse for monochrome as with the old farm machinery

There was also intermittent rain! However, it was a good game which Cambridge Women won easily. Lots of action to photograph,

West Cambridge Site
A few images taken on my walk through the West Cambridge site yesterday on the Full-spectrum camera. Generally greens are not recorded but here the canopy has cut out enough red wavelengths to permit the green to register quite intensely (well I think that is the reason!).

Full-Spectrum Images of Cambridge City Centre
These images were taken this morning in very bright sunlight on my Full Spectrum camera and resulted in an interesting colour palette (white point restored but not further changes).
