With the temperature at -33 degrees, our evening photography session was a bit limited in time and ability to twiddle knobs but certainly the Northern Lights did us proud. My favourite shot is the second in the series but have learnt that it doesn't fit FB dimensions so please click to get full set

Minus 30 degrees and Falling in Sweden
This morning we flew from Stockholm to Lulea and then drove north to Jokkmokk stopping just as the sun dropped below the horizon by some water rapids. Definite blue hour with a very obliging moon.
Stockholm Gamla Stan
Gamla Stan, the Old Town, is one of the largest and best-preserved medieval city centers in Europe and dates from 1252. There are mediaeval streets to explore as well as impressive buildings from many periods of history including the Royal Palace built in Roman style with Baroque architecture. Images of the streets at sunset in a later Blog.

Sunrise and Sunset in Stockholm
Yesterday, I started and ended my photography session with images of the waterfront and the city from the Hotel, the first shows a very bright Venus in the sky by the City Hall.

Sunday Evening in Stockholm
You are never far from the water in Stockholm so it is only a short walk from the hotel to be able to the waterfront. Lots of wonderful reflections from Gamla Stan (the Old City) and views around the City Hall, new Conference centre and Railway Station. As you can see it was snowing fairly heavily but this disappeared in the long exposures.
