A very enjoyable day at RPS Sandy yesterday with the Paxton Volunteers Photo Group. I have never seen so many Fly Agarics before with long troops of fruiting bodies at all stages of development, some spendid Parasols, lots of Mycena species etc. The area where we normally photograph Birds Nest Fungi has been cleared of bracken - I found only two 'nests' in an extensive search. In the afternoon we went down into what I always call the Dell - photos to follow.
