Liverpool Day 1

We are spending six days in Liverpool area over the New Year - the first three in New Brighton on the opposite side of the Mersey. Here some images taken in the evening of the Rock Lighthouse, the Liverpool docks, Marine Lake and the Promenade Shelters. It started cloudy but the sky gradually cleared giving some star sightings.

 

Three Happy Dogs at Coton

Muddy but enjoyable walk at Coton with Peter, Holly and Bracken, Ted and Ian and Isla. The three dogs enjoyed ball games but most of all treats and Ian made sure they all got something even though Isla thought otherwise.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park London

A few images from our walk back to Westfield Shopping Centre after the basketball. Raining slightly giving lots of cloud and wet pavements for reflecting the colours of the light.

 

Almost a White Christmas, Toft Cambridgeshire

Perfect Christmas Day with a heavy frost and then lovely sunshine for the day. Toft looked at its best during our morning woalk, I only took a wide angle lens (10-24mm) which gave a few problems especially when horses decide to come a bit too close - still cleaning the lens!

London Lions versus Sheffield Sharks at the Copperbox Arena, Olympic Park, London

My first visit to the Copperbox and thoroughly enjoyed the experience  of being entertained for 2 hours with fast moving basketball. Not easy to shoot but here a few shots from the afternoon.

 

 

CRUFC win25-22 Against Loughborough Students

Cambridge made a bit heavy weather for their win against bottom of the table Loughborough - even the dog had to look away some of the time. My favourite low sunlight behind the players in the first half. Still on jpegs as not yet sorted good workflow for XT-3 raw files.
