These images were taken within an hour and yet the colour of the light was so different it makes white balance adjustment very tricky and I am not at all happy with the results - the blues tend on the cyan side and if corrected the images look 'muddy'. I only have Lightroom while travelling but I am looking forward to trying some of the Nik suite on them. Of course, Ian will remind me that I should have been travelling with a colour checker passport! The last pair of images are shot at 0.5 sec and 30 secs (using a 10-stop neutral density filter.

Hamnoy Vilage Lofoten Islands
These are the cabins that were our home for three nights - moving back to Leknes area for the next four nights. Again the photos show the early morning blue light that gradually changes. Getting a bit behind with photo log!! Dawn shots from 28th to follow.

Yellow and Red Houses, Lofoten Islands
The traditional fishing huts on stilts come in two flavours, yellow and red - both excellent for landscape photography. The cliffs scenes are from A the most northerly point of the Lofoten Islands. Night scenes from around our cabin.
Reine District Dawn
We went out to watch the sunrise on a bridge overlooking Reine - not a great hardship as first image taken at 9.30am. There were snow showers and then clearer periods. We then returned to our cabins and the sun the came out for us. The images are in chronological order showing the changes in the light. The last image is home for 3 nights - more of these to follow.

After the Sunset, Haukland Beach, Lofoten Islands
A selection of images after the sunset on the beach, the first two with the Fuji-XT and 10-24mm (good choice Phil), then two at 10 secs followed by variety of shutter speeds from 1.6 to 2.5 secs

Haukland Beach Lofoten Islands Norway
The flight from Bodo to Leknes was very bumpy going through large cumulus clouds but, by the time we had been picked up from the airport, the rain had gone and the sky cleared. We travelled a short way to Haukland Beach and were treated to a beautiful sunset. There were still large blocks of ice on the river banks and beach, which made great lead-in features for the compositions.
