Test Shots with the Fuji 80mm Macro Lens

It is still too cold for many insects to be on the move but I managed to capture a very sleepy Bee Fly, three different Hoverfly species, Bumblebees and flies in Marwell and Weston Super Mare. On our way to the Southwest, we had called at MPB in Brighton to sell some items and buy a secondhand longer macro for my Fuji. Very pleased with the service they give and delighted with the new lens.

Excellent macros. I hope to buy this lens soon. What f-stop did you use, and at what point did diffraction become apparent? Were these hand-held? Did the optical stabilizer help?

Thanks,
