S'Albufera Natural Park, Majorca

The Nature Reserve of S'Albufera is a fantastic area for bird watching  In 1987 it was declared Special Protection Areas for Birds (ZEPA) and was included in the Ramsar Convention under the category of Wetlands of International Importance. I spent a rather wet day there but saw the majority of theor 'special' species and photographed most. Here are a selection of the species seen.
Starting with a pair of courting Night Herons - more pics of this to follow. Other species Avocet and Black-winged Stilts with chicks everywhere. Yellow Watail and Red-billed Teal, Little Ringed Plover and Kentish Plover, Purple Gallinule and Crested Coot, Little and Cattle Egret. Common Tern, Serin and Nightingale
