London in Monochrome

I had a bit of time today to process some of the London images from our visit in December and have put a new gallery on my website (Kensington area London). Now just need the time to print a few!

Are these more B&W conversions done using Nik Silver Efex Pro? If so I'd be interested to hear how you're getting on and whether you like it. The plug-in has been hovering around on my shopping list for quite a while, so any pointers would be helpful!

Yes they were as a plugin to Lightroom. I like it as helps the workflow for me but I am much less equipped (photoshop-wise that is) than you and also a lot less proficient so not sure what it would add to your CS5 and good order of processing.

Just downloaded the demo version to give it a try during my lunch break. Initial feeling is that it's very impressive indeed, and much quicker than doing the equivalent in PS or LR. The proof of the pudding will be trying a conversion "in anger", but so far it seems very natural and intuitive to use.
