We made our way on the DLR to Greenwich, which was very busy and they have now closed off Queens house area so you can no longer walk through the colonnades etc. So we decided to walk back to O2 area along the river - this proved a good choice as the overcast conditions gave soft muted colours and beautiful reflections - plenty of opportunities for four photographers. These are single exposures except image three which is a double exposure (I think!!).

Docklands
Yesterday, on a grey foggy day, we took the Dockland Light Railway into Docklands and spent the day exploring the colours and shapes of the architecture.

Life After Death of a Tree
Sometimes trees have to be cut down - a very sad event to see life destroyed but nothing in nature is seemingly wasted. When I looked closely at the stump and logs from one giant that had to be felled to protect power lines at Paxton Pits, it was teaming with life. Here a few slime moulds, fungi and creatures living there - this from a short session before the rain came yesterday afternoon - tentative identifications on the thumbnail sheet. I especially like the simplicity of this slime mould Comatrichia nigra and the incredible camouflage of the Ant Damselbug. (Handheld stacks quickly processed - need a bit of refining when time!!)
