Some images from a RPS Nature Group outing to Rye Meads on a very cold frosty day with very limited light. As usual, the coots were bust squabbling while the Robins followed us around hoping for some disturbed insect life under our feet.

Frosted Fungi on Stumps etc
From Friday's trip to Hardwick Wood - fungi covered in frost that were growing on rotten wood or tree trunks. All photostacks only quickly processed in Zerene stacker - need a bit more work before saving the final image in many cases.

Winter in Hardwick Wood: Frosted Leaf Fungi
Images from a second visit to the wood this time focus bracketing (21-31 shots) the minute fungi on the woodland floor. The sunlight with the frosted caps and the lit autumn leaves was magical. I have stacked them quickly in Zerene stacker but need to return and try other modes and also in Photoshop as I am getting a halo on some toadstools. The sunlight with the frosted caps and the lit autumn leaves was magical.

Cambridge Night-time Photography
Some images taken on my walk back to the car on Wednesday - most officially night-time photography i.e. more than an hour after sunset when all light has left the sky except the moonlight, which was strong at full moon. Exposures 10sec f14 to 40secs f4 for last King's College shot. (No denoise or sharpening applied)

Cambridge 'Shops'
Walking round Cambridge on Wednesday between 4 and 6pm, we were surprised how few shoppers there were and even the now abundant eating places were not busy. It will be iinteresting to see how many of these premises arre still under the same ownership next year and what colours M&S favour.
