The Tony Carter covered cycle bridge over the railway just north of Cambridge railway station opened in 1989. It was listed at the time in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's longest covered cycle bridge. It is named after a Labour councillor of the era. It is certainly in need of a good clean (2nd image shows it in 2006 with clear views.

Wet Evening on Riverside
Only Malcom (with a very clever tripod umbrella clamp), Paul (with his fancy torch), and I braved the fairly heavy rain for last night's Wednesday workshop at Riverside in Cambridge. Certainly no chance of star trails!! I used a fish eye and then a 18-55mm lens (different star burst effects), neither of which have an adequate hood but here are a few shots that I liked including one of several boats exercising up and down the river.

Bubble Against the Sunrise
Bubbles, our very fluffy grey cat loves to sit on the windowsill warming himself with the radiator below and the sunlight streaming in.

Cambridgeshire Night Sky
Standing for an hour yesterday evening, taking photos and reflecting on current news and life.

Herald Out, BAE146 In
A visit to Duxford Air museum yesterday to preview a new exhibition inside the museum, but also took the opportunity to look at their newest airliner acquisition, the BAE 146. Unfortunately to display this on the Herald has been sold to another Museum and is in the process of being dismantled. Hope the reassembly instructions are better than the usual flat pack ones. For the interior shots I used a wide angle lens add-on with Fuji X100V at F2, which gives distortion round the edges of the frame

Yearly Markers
Every year around March 21st, I record the flowers open in our garden to get a comparison with previous years. As everything is very advanced this year, I thought I would do one now. I will do it in a month's time to make the actual date comparisons.
