A few bird images from my second day at Summer Leys in the early morning when it was still overcast and misty. The Greenfinch plumage close to shows such a variety of feather types and the second image is my first Bullfinch young in flight. Little Egret and Grey Heron just doing what they do

A few more insects and spiders from Monday's trip to Summer Leys starting with mating Blue-tailed Damselflies and Sphaerophoria hoverflies. Other species include the Great Green Bush Cricket, Four-Banded Longhorn Beetle and 14-Spot Ladybird (very small with very long scientific name Propylea quattuordecimpunctata - ok if you know your latin numbers!).

Madingley Church Infrared
Some images taken on my infrared camera on our CCC outing on Saturday with my favourite conversion profile which gives a combination of blue and slight yellow tones. The last two images show the effect of the tungsten lighting in parts of the church.
