HDR and Panoramas

I had never tried HDR Panoramas until last week but I am amazed what a good job Lightroom can do. The first two images are HDR Panoramas of 12 photos - each of four different views taken at three exposures each one 3 stops apart; the third image is a straight 2-image panorama and the last three are HDR composites of three photos each.

Misty morning in Toft, Cambridgeshire

We have had some very misty mornings this week. Here some images from the Meadows and Golf Course in Toft. Much of the low lying land was flooded earlier in the week.

Wildfowl Trust Welney - Sunset Feed

Great end to our day on Saturday photographing the sunset feed at Welney from below the hide so we were not much above the water level. Lots of splashing all illuminated by a fiery sun. First shots at 1/1000th second, later ones at 1/90th.

Freezing Fog at American Cemetery

I visited the American War Cemetery while the fog was still around and the sun just beginning to break through. The mist had frozen overnight onto the grass and all the twigs, flowers etc including some Ink Cap toadstools.

A Century of Change in Cambridge Set 2

This is the second set of comparative images from a documentary audiovisual that  I made using images from around 1900 and from 2000/1. Some of the 1900 building are no longer the like the Mill in the second pair or hadn't been built like the Anchor in the first pair. I will repeat these in 2021 to see what has changed in the 21 years of the 21st Century. The monochrome images from 2000 were taken on Scala monochromatic film.
