Glasson Dock, Lancashire

On Thursday, we visited Glasson Dock on a beautiful sunny spring morning, a lovely area for a few shots of barges, derelict craft (especially like the washing line and pegs), the working Dock and the small church.

Peregrine at Warton Crags, Lancashire

After a morning at Leighton Moss as part of Gerry's birthday celebrations, we visited Warton Crags and were treated to good views of a Peregrine on the cliffs and a pair in the air - all at quite a distance. The site is shared by a large number of Jackdaws who came tumbling out of the trees and then did impressive formation flying. A pair of Ravens also passed through.

Polemere Reserve Shrewsbury

Polemere is a small nature reserve near Shrewsbury - thanks Jane for sharing this. The weather was less than perfect (frequent rain showers and overcast) for bird photography but a redshank and Lapwing did come close enough for some good shots. The other birds were a bit distant but have included them here for the reserve tick list - Coot bookends, female Teal, Canada Geese, male Teal flying and in water, Tufted Duck, Little Grebe, Widgeon and Greylag goose.

Avoncroft Museum

A quick visit to Avoncroft Museum near Bromsgrove where we are staying as I am lecturing at Worcester Camera Club tomorrow evening. Storm Katie had passed through leaving some beautiful skies and clear light - very different to the last visit
