For our one full day in Vienna, we purchased a 24 hour travel card and made full use of it on the U-bahn. It also covered the tram and bus system but, unfortunately not the horse-drawn carriages. There are still some original stations in their architecture as well as very modern ones and, similarly, still some old style trams - apparently very uncomfortable with wooden seats.

First Evening in Vienna
We arrived at the hotel in time for a stroll down Mariatheresa Strasse to the MT Square, Parliament building, Hofberg Palace and St Stephan's Cathedral. This was mainly to get our bearings for the next day's visit to the City but a few images from the walk. These are all jpeg conversions done in camera from the Raw - the XT-10 has software built in that allows highlight, shadow, white balance etc control for building the jpeg.
Prague Hauptbahnhof
We left Prague on Boxing Day morning from the wonderfully restored Hauptbahnhof heading for Vienna. The main concourse with all the electronic timetables and multitude of shops is downstairs while the main entrance has been restored to its former glory

Afternoon Light in Prague
The clouds began to break towards sunset so first a few images using 10-stop neutral density filter to get cloud movement and still reflections and one straight reflection shot. I then walked up to the Castle for views of the City as the lights came on. Final images of the Christmas market stall by the Castle and some penguins looking distinctly yellow in the unseasonably warm weather.

Prague Looking Down
After the firey sunrise, the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon were cloudy so decided best plan was to climb a couple of towers to get a different perspective on the city. The first image shows the lift that takes people up inside the Old Town Hall Clock Tower. Great views of the Square from there. Final three images are of the Charles Bridge from one of the towers. Eventually found Phil walking across the Bridge in one of the images
