The sun shone for our last evening in Skye though there were some heavy showers and rainbows. There was a small flock of ?Lesser Redpolls and a Robin feeding its young with an unidentified prey. Otherwise photographing around Corbost was a lovely end to the week.

Braes Beach, Isle of Skye
Typically on the last day of our holiday in Skye we find the perfect beach for the grandchildren - long stretches of sand, rock pools and short but exciting route from the car. The light was ever changing as showers came across.

Whistle-stop Skye Tour
As it is very difficult to do much sight-seeing or photography when on holiday with 5 and 3 year old children, two of the adults went on an organised scenic minibus tour round the island yesterday with Scenic Skye Tours . Here a few monochrome conversions of my favourite locations. Will put up colour images with site idenitifications later.

Sea Eagles
We took the obligatory boat trip to see the Sea Eagles yesterday. We were advised that the longer Star Dust trip on the first boat of the day would be the best chance. They were right as we had three or four opportunites to capture the Eagles coming down for fish - two different female birds. The male Sea Eagle did a fly around and interacted with a gull but didn't come down to the water.

Day Out with Skye Wildlife Tours
Although we only had distant views of otters and Golden Eagle and there were very few other birds around, we had a very enjoyable day out with Skye Wildlife Tours. The highlight was the Golden Eagle cruising acrossa hillside and the baby Dipper practising immersion techniques. Images in the order taken on the map (clockwise route). The gps function on the camera has its functions so we can revisit some areas.
