We spent an hour or so in Coventry Cathedral on Sunday. We last visited before the construction of the University and the large square in front of the steps - a road ran along the front with the Epstein statue overlooking mainly derelict buildings. I tried to find images from then on the web and failed so will look out my images one day. I find it a very austere almost frightening space with only the Bapistry window by John Piper offering any relief to the sombre message. Even the Eagle lecture is angular and aggressive unlike the usual rounded version.

Misty Morning at Stratford-upon-Avon
We woke up to a misty morning in our hotel in Alcester. I took the penultimate image of a lovely isolated group of trees from the bedroom before breakfast; by the time we got back to the room the mist had cleared to reveal previously hidden houses. Luckily the mist was patchy and stayed around in Stratford till mid morning giving some great autumn vistas. Lots of cobwebs adorning various barge 'friends'. Some people were busy decorating one of the tree with crochet squares - a custom I had first encountered in Moscow

Stratford Upon Avon Christmas Lights
We finished our visit to Stratford upon Avon on Saturday photographing their Christmas Lights - rather more impressive than Cambridge's usual efforts. A couple of multiple exposures first as I am still experimenting with this feature. The camera allows you to see in live view to select a first image, where to position the second image and to undo if not liked after taking. The final image is a RAW image

Stratford Upon Avon
After visiting Permajet's Open Day, we headed for Stratford. There was still a bit of mist around and this gave beautiful soft lighting in the afternoon so a few images from around the river area. The second four images are multiple exposure images from the Canon 5DMark III around Stratford Parkway Station earlier in the afternoon where we left the car at the Park and Ride.

Angelsey Abbey Winter Lights
On recommendation from Chris, I booked a tour round Anglesey Abbey grounds during their Winter Lights Festival. Well worth the entrance money - lots of fun to be had with fish-eye lenses, long exposures and multiple exposures plus psychedelic mushrooms and strange lit aliens leaping out of the bushes. Play was only stopped by rain and then not for long.
