Bolton Castle Wensleydale
Bolton Castle is a 14th-century castle which dominates Wensleydale. The castle was damaged in the English Civil War, but much of it remains. It has never been sold and is still in the ownership of the descendants of the Scrope family. The best ancient monument I have visited for a long while as so much of it is open to exploration with very few barriers or closed doors. I was aiming mainly to do monochrome images but some of the colours with the mixed lighting appealed so these first to set the scene. The view from the battlements covers all of Wensleydale.

Eye Green Nature Reserve
We stopped at the Travelodge at Eye Green on he first night of our holiday. The services area is pretty unattractive but opposite is a great nature reserve with lots of dragonflies and butterflies.
John Lewis Project
We did some photography of the Partners at work in John Lewis and on Wednesday went to see the results. In all they used 20 plus photos on their staircases and corridors. The couple in my one of the Brasserie were very happy to be photographed for the project - they had lunch in john Lewis on special occasions like birthdays.

August at Burwash
Some images from a trip to the Dragonfly pools on a windy day - Emperor Dragonfly, Brown Hawker, Common Darter male and female (into and away from wind). Mating Common Darters - same photo processed with Lightroom only for noise, sharpening etc or using 3rd party plug ins - Focus Fixer, Define and Viveza (lefthand or top). The latter looks more natural without the slight edging.

Equifest Peterborough
A free and very large event at the East of England Showground but very difficult to photograph especially on a dull day.
