Christmas Comes to Center Parcs

Spending a couple of days with Peter and Holly in Elveden Center Parcs. Christmas has certainly arrived at the Parc but there are still a few beech trees in their full autumn skirts. The colours are more vibrant in the rain that we have had during the two days.

Santon Downham and Brandon Park

 It rained very heavily until we started on our walk at Santon Downham but the rain cleared off for the rest of the days. Not a lot of fungi but agai the autumn colours made up for it.

Clumber Park

 I stopped off in Sherwood Forest on my way back from Yorkshire hoping to find lots of fungi - only a very few damaged specimens but the autumn colours made a walk along the lake and through the woods worthwhile.

 Some gritty images from Huddersfield on a wet Monday. The modern architecture of the new University buildings contrast with the old mills and factories. How will they look in 150 years time.

Kings College Cambridge

Images taken with the 24mm Shift lens showing the quality of image possible with this lens. It is a difficult lens to use off a tripod as it is manual focus and exposure.
