I stayed in Kings Lynn overnight, having lectured to their Camera club last night and visited the town before driving back this morning. The Custom House was built in 1683 and is remarkably well preserved as are a lot of the other 17th Century buildings. The statue is of George Vancouver who charted Northwest America.

Paxton Pits
The sun was a bit later coming out than Miles and I had hoped but eventually some good light arrived just as a pair of Great Crested Grebes swam up to the hide at Paxton Pits. Various other species showing signs of pairing and one Chiffchaff was heard so spring is underway!!

Concrete (Appreciation) Society
Some time ago I became aware of the Concrete Society and how people can become interested in the graphic possibilities and power of concrete constructions. Here, for fellow addicts, some images of concrete slabs abandoned outside a large warehouse at Glasson dock.
