Still Waters etc

 I went to photograph the meadows in Grantchester in the fog but found it had cleared so looked for other subjects. The snow was starting to thaw off the branches overhanging the river creating interesting ripples among the reflected trees.

Grantchester Exhibition

Only 2 weeks now till our Exhibition in Grantchester Village Hall. We are open Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July so do come and visit and join us for a cup of tea and chat

Grantchester Exhibition and Our Swallows are Back

I have missed quite a few days as the Exhibition at Grantchester has taken up all the daylight hours (and more). The weather was not good over the Easter weekend here in Cambridgeshire so we were disappointed with the number of people walking around the village and therefore being tempted to visit the Exhibition. However, we were delighted to welcome many of our Cambridge Camera club members and other friends as well as a fairly steady stream of visitors new to us from all round the world!

My best-selling image was of snow in the Orchard Tearooms (it felt as cold as this in the Hall first thing in the mornings!) and also the Mill Pond in Autumn.

Our Swallows returned for the first time today. Great to know they remember their way home.

Open Studios Favourites

Two of the three weekends that I am participating in the Cambridge Open Studios are over, so I am interested to see which are the favourite images so far.

The two Norway ones from the trip I made last December have been popular but also the low light Brancaster beach scene and the Granchester trees in the snow.
