Cambridge Dusk in Infrared

It was an overcast dull evening yesterday for our CCC meet up in Cambridge so I used my Sony RX100 infrared-converted camera. These are jpegs from the camera where a camera style had been chosen to give this colour rendition.

Silhouettes Workshop

Our Cambridge Camera Club Wednesday Workshop group are meeting in Toft People's Hall most of this season, partly because of its excellent facilities including some programmable colour spotlights, which we used last night to give some interesting silhouette compositions (helped along with Lightroom colour curve adjustments etc). Thanks Paul for running it and Martin for his help with the lighting etc

Multiexposure Experiments

Multiexposure in the camera (here Fuji X100V) is a popular subject in requests for lectures or workshops so I regularly try to renew my acquaintance with all the various factors that contribute to the final image. These were taken on a walk from Coton to Cambridge via the West Cambridge development. My favourites are the Life is Beautiful in Monochrome or colour (glad they corrected the spelling!) - even on the greyest day there is a small escape route through an opening somewhere.
I have used three of the four blending modes - Dark 1-5. Light 9 and 10 and Average 6-8. I didn't produce an image with Additive that I liked. You can also change the film simulation between exposure as in image 10 where a B/w and Sepia mode are used for the two exposures. As in previous posts, it is also possible to change the colour temperature, aperture, exposure compensation and shutterspeed between exposures with the Fuji as these are on dials or Quick button.

Fun with Fruit at Toft PG

Toft Photo Group had an evening of story telling and close-up photography with fruit, vegetables and mini figures. We start with a sunbathing afternoon brought to a halt by a sudden shower while a burglar gets away with the loot stranding his victims on top of giant tomatoes.

Photohunt in Sawston

Yesterday we found and took an image at 16 of the 20 clues for a Photohunt set in Sawston. Here are my favourite 8 from the set.

Sunday is World Pinhole Day

Every year there is a day in April where pinhole camera users post an image so I thought I ought to prepare for it. Barry kindly lent me his Lensbaby composer which has a pinhole option. Here a selection from our local church. The last two are with the lensbaby with lens rather than pinhole
