Sunflowers in Morning Mist

My daily morning walk in our Cambridgeshire village covers about a mile of very varied 'views' and is rarely the same from day to day. Sunday's walk was in thick mist so the colours in the fallow field with its sunflowers, and the hedgerow leaves, fruits and dry grasses  made great subjects against the muted backgrounds.

Cambridge Dusk in Infrared

It was an overcast dull evening yesterday for our CCC meet up in Cambridge so I used my Sony RX100 infrared-converted camera. These are jpegs from the camera where a camera style had been chosen to give this colour rendition.

Autumn Misty Cobwebs

The first really autumnal morning today with thick mist and all the spider webs decorated with dew.

Garden Wildlife Survey

This very attractive Crab spider was one of only a very few records on my usual 30 mins with my camera in the garden yesterday - even the Ivy flowers are only frequented by Wasps, Blackfly and Ants. It was interesting to see an adult male Speckled Bush Cricket.

Silhouettes Workshop

Our Cambridge Camera Club Wednesday Workshop group are meeting in Toft People's Hall most of this season, partly because of its excellent facilities including some programmable colour spotlights, which we used last night to give some interesting silhouette compositions (helped along with Lightroom colour curve adjustments etc). Thanks Paul for running it and Martin for his help with the lighting etc
