Rainy Evening in New Brighton

Staying in New Brighton on the Wirral to attend the PAGB Print Finals tomorrow. Wet evening afforded opportunity for some different shots of the famous shelters.

Cambridge Textures

I am continuing my theme of building materials and the structure they were used in. The first two work well with the images from bluewater centre http://pin-sharp.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/bluewater-shopping-centre.html. but not sure i have got five for a portfolio even with the War Cemetery ones http://pin-sharp.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/madingley-war-cemetery.html.
The autumn colours are just beginning to really glow. I hope we don't get a lot more strong winds that blow them off before we can appreciate the colours.

Umbrella Time in Cambridge II

A sequence of images taken along the Backs in Cambridge as a heavy rain storm arrived and then eased off. The puntmen continued  through it all still telling their 'punters' about the Colleges' history.

Slow Motion in Hunstanton

The above picture taken last week at Hunstanton in the rain and a gale using slow shutterspeeds - starting with reference image at 1/200th then 1/6th, 1 second, 4 seconds and 5 seconds. The birds were 1/10th second. The tripod was not quite sturdy enough for the job but like the colours and the effects produced.
