Burnham-on-Sea

A bit belatedly, some images from Burnham-on-Sea taken on the last day of our trip to Somerset. It was very busy with dog walkers when we arrived but soon cleared as lunchtime approached. Last images - 30secs - also a good way to clear people from the scene!!

Walks on New Year's Day - Rhyl and Talacre

We enjoyed chilly but very enjoyable walks on Rhyl promenade and then, in the afternoon, on Talacre beach as the sun set.

Liverpool Day 1

We are spending six days in Liverpool area over the New Year - the first three in New Brighton on the opposite side of the Mersey. Here some images taken in the evening of the Rock Lighthouse, the Liverpool docks, Marine Lake and the Promenade Shelters. It started cloudy but the sky gradually cleared giving some star sightings.

South Stacks in the Fog and Sun

When we arrived at South Stacks, it was very foggy and very eerie with the calls of all the hundreds of Guillemots, Gulls, etc and the fog horn sounding from the Lighthouse. The cloud cleared periodically giving beautiful views of the Stack and Lighthouse and lots of flying Gulls, Rock Pipit, Chough and Kestrel (bird images from JPEGS as I don't download RAW while away)
