Infrared Images Thurne and Turf Fen

Today we had a very enjoyable landscape photography day led by Justin Minns, visiting Thurne Dyke drainage mill and the drainage mill at Turf Fen which can only be viewed from the opposite bank. The weather was very grey and quite rainy most of the time with just a few lighter areas appearing in the sky. Here some shots taken with my compact IR-converted camera  - jpegs taken direct from camera which I feel give a good feel for the day!

Cambridge Dusk in Infrared

It was an overcast dull evening yesterday for our CCC meet up in Cambridge so I used my Sony RX100 infrared-converted camera. These are jpegs from the camera where a camera style had been chosen to give this colour rendition.

A few favourite infrared images from a trip to RSPB Sandy last week. Jpegs from Sony RX100; no postprocessing; all at F4, there is a central hotspot when into the light.

Infrared at RSPB Sandy

Friday was a great day to use infrared with the clouds constantly changing and the very clear conditions helping definition in the foliage. Taken with converted Sony RX100

A Hot Morning in the Woods

The Woodland Belt at Wimpole is closed except one short path through Eversden Woods. I hope these infrared images give a feel of the almost impenetrable wildness of ivy and undergrowth that is developing in the undisturbed parts of the wood.
