We spent a very hot hour yesterday morning photographing the new footbridge at Bar Hill. Thanks Paul for arranging the access around the site. I played around with double and multiple exposures as well as a full panorama. I will return on a cooler day and cross the bridge for more views and certainly visit when the area has grown vegetation.

Guildford: River Wey and Stoke Park
I decided that, as driving out from the Travelodge in Guildford was difficult at any time of day due to the heavy traffic, I would spend the day walking into and around Guildford itself. It had been very cold overnight so lots of ice, frost and rising mist for my exploration of the River Wey and nearby Stoke Park.

Cambridge Mists 1
Took advantage of the last foggy morning in cambridge yesterday. Unfortunately it then started to rain so a different set of images will follow after the mist was replaced by light rain.

Lanercost Priory, Cumbria
The Augustinian Lanercost Priory lies in a beautiful Valley close to Hadrian's Wall, It suffered frequent attacks during the long Anglo-Scottish wars, once by Robert Bruce in person. The mortally sick King Edward I rested here for five months in 1306-7, shortly before his death on his final campaign. The 13th-century church survives to its full height at the east end with a dramatic triple tier of arches. The building continues as the parish church but just the north aisle has been reroofed and used.

Prague Looking Down
After the firey sunrise, the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon were cloudy so decided best plan was to climb a couple of towers to get a different perspective on the city. The first image shows the lift that takes people up inside the Old Town Hall Clock Tower. Great views of the Square from there. Final three images are of the Charles Bridge from one of the towers. Eventually found Phil walking across the Bridge in one of the images
