Dawn at Brightlingsea

After an enjoyable day on Sunday selecting Ipswich PS Exhibition (thanks  for the hospitality David and Lynda), I decided on a dawn visit to Brightlingsea to let the traffic die down before returning home yesterday morning. Fortunately, the forecast wind and rain stayed away. The moon still gave enough light to illuminate the water and beach before the dawn light took over. I always enjoy the transitition from the blue light to warmer shades as the sun rises. Testing out using my very light 28mm pancake lens for landscape etc to see if ok for a family holiday at the end of the month. I did miss my wider 10-24mm lens so it may be that something else has to left behind!!

Thorpe Bay Sunrise

I spent last night at Thorpe Bay after speaking to Hadleigh Camera Club - thanks for your warm welcome. It was an ideal morning with low tide and full moon, though the latter was behind the town. Wonderful to see and hear Brent Geese and a Curlew. Once the sun was up the beach huts took my attention.

Norfolk tour - Misty Morning at Wells

There was a heavy mist on Sunday morning so I took an early morning stroll on Wells Beach. I have still not worked out whether it was the full moon or early sun through the fog. A couple of shots at the end of Pinewoods where we spent 2 nights.

Walton-on-the-Naze's Unique Features

From Black-Headed Gulls that like to break the rules to rows of stacked beach huts, Walton-on-the-Naze has plenty of character. It has the smartest public toilets of any seaside town.
