CRUFC versus Richmond 2nd team

Cambridge Rugby Union Football Club beat Richmond's 2nd team 24-12 this afternoon - a good result as Richmond are in the league above and are a professional team. Played in the rain and a bit untidy but plenty of action.

 

Grass Track Racing

The dry summer resulted in the grass track quickly turning to dust making great backdrop for the motorcycles. I generally preferred them in monochrome but then think it is a shame to lose the vibrant colours. 

 

 

Polo and Picnic

Lots of action at our annual picnic at the polo on Sunday though very unforgiving light. Here a small selection from the three matches.

Return Visit to London Lions Basket Ball

As we enjoyed our last visit to the Copper Box to watch the basketball, we went again this weekend and watched the Lions defeat Cheshire Phoenix 88 77 with lots of action and atmosphere. I haven't had time to process many but here some shots to get a flavour of the event.

My first visit to the Copperbox and thoroughly enjoyed the experience  of being entertained for 2 hours with fast moving basketball. Not easy to shoot but here a few shots from the afternoon.

 

 

Day in Blackpool 1. On the Prom

On Saturday, we spent the day in Blackpool, along with a lot of other people! As it was coming up to high tide, we were confined to the promenade for a few hours so walked from North Pier to South Pier. Looking into the sun gave some opportunities for shadow play.
