Prague Looking Down

After the firey sunrise, the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon were cloudy so decided best plan was to climb a couple of towers to get a different perspective on the city. The first image shows the lift that takes people up inside the Old Town Hall Clock Tower. Great views of the Square from there. Final three images are of the Charles Bridge from one of the towers. Eventually found Phil walking across the Bridge in one of the images

Prague 8am Christmas Morning

We intended to be on the bridge to view the dawn at 7.30 am but went the wrong way on the underground so 30 minutes late arriving but the sun was still hidden by the buildings so time to get views along the bridge of the rail tracks and cobbles.  They say red sky in the morning is not a good portend for the day's weather and certainly the rest of the day was more or less cloudy till sunset when it conveniently cleared (more later). From the clocks you can see the sun was above the buildings by 8.15am.

Prague Underground

The Prague Underground is simple to use (as long as you check on the direction of travel), clean and efficient. Surprised how many dogs were travelling on the trains today.

Charles Bridge Prague

Images from Christmas Eve in Prague - in reverse chronological order as the evening shots, when the sun finally came out, are the more dramatic for the Blog.

Misty Morning in Prague

The promised sunshine did not arrive till late afternoon and there was quite a bit of fog around. First some images from around the Castle area. St Vitas Cathedral was free to enter today so lots of people inside but still possible to get some isolated people shots adding scale and atmosphere.

Castle and Cathedral, Prague

Our first evening in Prague and we decided to walk to the Castle and St. Vitas Cathedral. These are long exposures so we were not alone by a long way!!! Last image shows the moon which will be full on Christmas Day so time to plan a good vista for Moonrise over the City
