Ely Cathedral Park

Images from a sunny walk in Ely Cathedral Park where I got intrigued by this old spreading London Plane tree. I couldn't find the origin and age of this tree though there is a Plane tree in the Palace garden that is said to be the oldest in England planted in 1630.

Exhibition at Addenbrookes Cancelled

Inevitable with the present lockdown, the Exhibition 'Winter' has been postponed to an unknown time. I am obviously disappointed for myself after putting the effort into printing etc  but mainly for the hopeful loss of income to the Hospital.

Redwings etc at Paxton Pits

Very enjoyable walk at Paxton Pits today where the star performers were the Redwings plucking and swallowing berries. Bluetits were also feasting on the berries while Goldfinches seemed to be pecking at galls on the willows. Strange rook with white feathers on the flanks.

Anglesey Abbey Winter Lights 1. Static Shots

I visited the Winter Lights Display at Anglesey Abbey last night along with members of Cambridge CC and Toft Photogroup. Clear night allowed stars to feature in some of the images. Here are the traditional shots from the evening i.e.keeping the camera as still as possible given the long exposures and large numbers of people!! I particularly likes the use of ultraviolet light to show off the large Allium seedheads. A batch of creative shots to follow.
