Winter in Hardwick Wood: Frosted Leaf Fungi

Images from a second visit to the wood this time focus bracketing (21-31 shots) the minute fungi on the woodland floor. The sunlight with the frosted caps and the lit autumn leaves was magical. I have stacked them quickly in Zerene stacker but need to return and try other modes and also in Photoshop as I am getting a halo on some toadstools. The sunlight with the frosted caps and the lit autumn leaves was magical.

Ventnor to Bonchurch, Isle of Wight

On Saturday morning we walked along the coast from Ventnor to Bonchurch in beautiful sunshine but with very strong winds. As well as photographing the spray, I played with multiple exposure to give the impression of the overriding presence of the rough seas.

Arnos Vale Cemetery

'Arnos Vale is one of Britain’s best examples of a Victorian garden cemetery, set in a leafy 45-acre Arcadian landscape dotted with classical buildings, historic monuments, sweeping carriage drives and leafy walks lined with wildflowers'. This set of images was taken with a Sony RX100 converted for infrared.

Azaleas at Leith Place, Surrey (National Trust)

The Azaleas were in full bloom at Leith Place on Sunday - a wonderful display but very difficult to capture on a very bright day. Azaleas belong to the Rhododendron family so all azaleas are rhododendrons but not all rhododendrons are Azaleas. Most Azaleas are deciduous, while most Rhododendrons are evergreen. Azaleas have tubular or funnel shaped flowers; Rhododendrons  are more bell shaped.

Sunny Sunday in Cambridge

We went into Cambridge to take images for a Photohunt organised for members of CCC. We had 16 places to identify from a photo and then take our own image from that spot. Most of these are taken travelling between the clues just to record Cambridge on a sunny Sunday in June 2021
