90 Minutes in Cambridge

In total I spent 3 hours in Cambridge yesterday photographing as the sun set and then into night conditions. Here a set of images taken in the 'blue hour' (actually 90minutes) as the daytime colours change to night.

Sunday is World Pinhole Day

Every year there is a day in April where pinhole camera users post an image so I thought I ought to prepare for it. Barry kindly lent me his Lensbaby composer which has a pinhole option. Here a selection from our local church. The last two are with the lensbaby with lens rather than pinhole

Playing with Shallow Depth of Field

Toft Photoclub met in the church yesterday evening to get to know our cameras especially regarding aperture and depth of field. I used the Olympus manual lens mostly at F1.8 and played with getting interesting out-of-focus backgrounds. Last image of the roof angel at F8.
