We had the almost perfect day weatherwise for our CCC outing to Stratford, London yesterday. It started cold and misty, with ice on the canal and soft colours, and ended with an orange sunset.

Building the Olympic Dream?
We paid a return visit to the Olympic site and the streets around Hackney Wick. Building has continued and some folks, like the Docklands Light Railway driver, can't wait for things to start. Others like the man peering through the fence aren't so sure and others just continue to frequent the 'regenerated' streets.

Building the Dream
I haven't posted much recently as photography has been a bit on hold while I completed the 120 prints for my new talk on The Seaside and also an entry for one of the categories in the RPS Print International . The latter took a long while to adjust as the image was taken through a slightly tinted window and straight into the sun. I very much like the final image as it reminds me of my time at a nursery school above the Thames in Greenwich area when I spent breaks looking out over the dockyards and enjoyed the cranes and the tiny workers like ants. I was under five at the time but can still recall the scenes vividly.

Olympic City
We visited the Olympic City site on an amazingly warm day for late October. In fact, today they completed the Orbit by Anish Kapoor but we had left before they lifted the last curved piece onto the top. The Stadium looked great with a foreground of cosmos flowers.
