Winter in Hardwick Wood: Frosted Leaf Fungi

Images from a second visit to the wood this time focus bracketing (21-31 shots) the minute fungi on the woodland floor. The sunlight with the frosted caps and the lit autumn leaves was magical. I have stacked them quickly in Zerene stacker but need to return and try other modes and also in Photoshop as I am getting a halo on some toadstools. The sunlight with the frosted caps and the lit autumn leaves was magical.

90 Minutes in Cambridge

In total I spent 3 hours in Cambridge yesterday photographing as the sun set and then into night conditions. Here a set of images taken in the 'blue hour' (actually 90minutes) as the daytime colours change to night.

Shadows, Cycles and People in Cambridge

Very contrasty light this morning for my walk from the Park and Ride to the City centre. The low sun gave long shadows and bright rim lighting.

Light Painting

Some images taken at last night's CCC Wednesday Workshop meeting. The rotating bicycle wheel and the 'Christman Tree' worked particularly well as did the lit silhouettes of Charles and Barry.

Dorset 15 Early Morning Contrasts

One of the joys of staying at Higher Kingcombe is the opportunity to photograph early in the morning either in the meadows above the Lodge to get the first rays of sunshine or around the lakes below to catch the insects covered in due. Here some comparisons of shots during the week. Most are 'if only' shots so plenty of reason to return.
