All Even CRUFC 17- Darlington MP 17

A very hard fought level game played in poor light on a grey drizzly day. I was up to 3200 ISO and some are only 1/320th second so surprised that any are shareable!!

Miscellany from Lackford Lakes

We called at Lackford Lakes on our way back from Norfolk and enjoyed watching a Little Grebe catch and eat several fish. Lots of Lapwing and Snipe but the only close birds were a Robin and Cormorant. Interesting fungi - Stalkball and birds Nest Fungus.

Misty Frosty Walk in Toft

My morning walk with Ted was a delight this morning with a heavy frost and mist that came and went revealing different aspects of the views. Final image shows Ted hoping that I will put the camera away and get on with the walk!

Evening in Kings Lynn

For our weekend away, we were staying near the centre of Kings Lynn and took an evening stroll around the town. The Railway Station is a Grade II listed building. Work began in April 2013to restore the station to a 1949 state with British Rail branding and reminisces of the GER and LNER railways. Completed in 2014, the overall cost was under £1.1 million. The 17th century Custom House and the statue of Captain George Vancouver are two of Kings Lynn's best known features together with the austere Minster.

Welney Floods

With water stretching the entire area between the two Bedford Rivers and covering all the paths, the water birds had an enormous area to occupy. Not so good for Waders and perches were almost lacking for Gulls, Cormorants and Birds of Prey. A Cetti's Warbler was happy foraging in the old Teasels sticking out of the water
